WAFLSwans star wins another honour as WAFLW clubs crown fairest-and-best winners

It came as no surprise that Swan Districts ball magnet Jaime Henry won the club’s McSherry Medal, weeks after polling a record amount of votes in the Dhara Kerr Medal as the competition’s fairest-and-best player.
Henry polled a staggering 193 votes, easily more than double the next best player Jemma Sly was tallied 80, to become a back-to-back McSherry Medal winner.
Returning former skipper Jess Cox rounded out the top-three with 74 votes.
Jae Flynn added a club fairest-and-best award to her recent WAFLW premiership medal after winner East Fremantle’s Sharon Wong Medal.
The running defender edged out fellow back-six member and prized recruit Mackenzie Webb, with ruck Zoe Keley finishing third.
Two-time Dhara Kerr Medal winner Jayme Harken became a two-time club champion at Claremont.
Harken finished ahead of star goal-kicker Bec Anderson and captain Rachel Ortlepp.
West Coast recruit Isabella Shannon won Perth’s best-and-fairest and leading goal-kicker award in a remarkable season.
Shannon finished ahead of Isla Baldwin, with former Docker Evie Gooch in third place.
Fellow Eagles signing Natasha Entwistle won South Fremantle’s Allomes Medal ahead of ruck Kate Newson and last year’s winner Tahleah Mulder.
Jess Roper won West Perth’s club champion award ahead of Irish recruit Ellee McEvoy and Kayla van den Heever who were tied for second place.
East Perth’s fairest-and-best winners couldn’t be split with Elly Sara and Lucy Greenwood tying for the honour.
Young gun Tiama Collard, who’s only 17 and isn’t draft eligible until next year, won Peel Thunder’s Fenton Medal to highlight her status as an AFLW prospect.
