The umpiring masterplan was formulated this season to provide all Umpires and Umpire coaches with a consistent platform to use in the delivery of positive umpiring.

WAFC Umpire Development Manager Dean Margetts said that umpires made no secret they would make errors in games, but were committed to ensuring that those errors were not through lack of knowledge or lack of effort.

“We pride ourselves on being the 10th team in the WAFL competition,” he said.

“We hope that if you are reading this as a parent of a young footy player and you would like your son or daughter to get involved with some positive values like our Masterplan, then CLICK HERE and submit your interest.

“You could be one phone call away from wearing a green shirt, being part of a very inclusive and supportive team, meeting and making some wonderful friends, plus earning some pocket money along the way.”
