In the opening round of the RediMed Colts season for 2016 Claremont beat East Perth 9.12 (66) to 9.6 (60) at Medibank Stadium while Swan Districts defeated East Fremantle 10.10 (70) to 6.13 (49) at ATOM Stadium.
South Fremantle scored a thumping 21.9 (135) to 4.7 (31) win over West Perth at Fremantle Community Bank Oval and at Bendigo Bank Stadium, Peel Thunder beat Subiaco in a thriller 11.7 (73) to 10.9 (69).
