The Western Australia State Integrated team have been crowned Pool B Division Premiers at the 2018 AFL National Inclusion carnival in Tasmania after defeating Northern Territory by 14-points in the Grand Final on Saturday, June 23.
WA played a strong brand of footy throughout the match and kept Northern Territory to just one goal right up until the final term. North Territory fought back in the last quarter, and responded with two goals but couldn’t overcome team WA.
David Hallows was named best on ground and was also rewarded with All Australian selection for his outstanding performance across the week-long carnival.
Graeme Govan was WA’s leading goalkicker with two goals, and Alex Seymour, David Hallows and Jayson Mann kicked one each.
Kyron Timms was named WA’s Most Valuable Player, while Alex Seymour was awarded the Most Improved Coaches Award.
WA won four of its 10 matches played over the course of the carnival.
