ONE of Western Australia’s greatest ever footballers, Austin Robertson Jr, has passed away at the age of 80.

The champion full forward is the WAFL’s all-time leading goalkicker and made his mark during an amazing career with Subiaco in the 1960s and 1970s before playing with South Melbourne in the VFL for one year.

Nicknamed ‘Ocker’, Robertson kicked an incredible 1211 goals for the Lions over 251 matches, including booting 100 goals in a season on six separate occasions.

Robertson also represented WA 10 times.

In a tribute to his contribution to the game, Robertson was inducted into the Australian Football Hall of Fame in 2015.

The West Australian Football Commission sends its condolences to the family and friends of Austin Robertson Jnr.
