WA pair Cara Dziegielewski and Mia Carlshausen have been rewarded for their strong AFLW National Under-18s Championships with selection in the All-Australian Team.
West Perth product Dziegielewski was the Black Swans’ standout for the carnival, impressing with her consistent impact in the ruck across the four games.
She finished the carnival with 21 disposals, 44 hit-outs and six tackles in another sensational performance against the Allies, averaging 16.5 disposals, 32 hit-outs and 5.5 tackles over the four games.
Dziegielewski, who also took out the State 18s Girls MVP Award, was joined in the AFLW Under-18s All-Australian Team by Demons rebounding defender Carlshausen.

Carlshausen averaged 16.5 disposals, 5.5 rebound 50s and five marks across the championships, with her best performance coming in the come-from-behind victory over Vic Country in Melbourne.
“Cara, our 2026 Most Valuable Player, has been a model of professionalism and consistency,” AAMI WA Football State 18s Girls coach Kate Orme said.
“Her outstanding ruck craft is complemented by her work rate and competitiveness.
Her ability to give our midfield first use of the footy was evident across the Championships, highlighted by a 44-hit-out game against the Allies.
Cara’s performances were no surprise given her training standards and team first behaviours.
“Mia’s contribution to our National Championship campaign has been sensational.
“A member of our leadership group, Mia’s uses her high-performance standards and footy IQ to assist our team on and off field.
“Her will to win and her composure with ball in hand have been highlights of her game.
“Mia showed her ability to impact in big moments with several important plays in our final-quarter win over Vic Country.”
