Following yesterday’s announcement by the WA State Government regarding easing of restrictions within the Perth and Peel regions from 12.01am, Saturday May 8, the West Australian Football Commission has issued an update to all participants and clubs.

Spectators attending WAFL fixtures this weekend must wear masks both inside and outside whilst at the venue, in line with the State Government’s ruling of events over 1000 people.

WAFL Coaches and support staff are required to wear a mask during their matches over the weekend.

All players and staff must wear a mask when arriving and departing WAFL venues.

There will be no requirement throughout Junior Football and Auskick to wear a mask, unless a venue reaches the capacity of 1000 people.

We encourage spectators to carry a mask when attending football activities across the next week.

Clubs, participants and spectators are also reminded of the other COVID safe requirements including checking in on the SafeWA app, personal hygiene measures and not attending any football activities if unwell.

The WAFC offices will re-open from Monday, May 10.
