WAFL Match Review Panel Update

There will be no League cases heard at the WAFL Tribunal tonight, Tuesday, July 14, as all Match Review Panel offers have been accepted.

1. Connor West (West Perth) accepted a one (1) match sanction for rough conduct on Declan Mountofrd (Claremont) during the Pre-Season game between Claremont and West Perth at Revo Fitness Stadium on Saturday, July 11.

Based on the available evidence, the incident was assessed as careless conduct, medium impact and high contact. Under the table of penalties the offence was classified as a two (2) match sanction. An early guilty plea enabled the player to reduce the penalty to a one (1) match sanction.

2. Nick Robertson (East Perth) accepted a one (1) match sanction for striking Haiden Schloithe (South Fremantle) during the Pre-Season game between East Perth and South Fremantle at Leederville Oval on Saturday, July 11.

Based on the available evidence, the incident was assessed as intentional conduct, low impact and high contact. Under the table of penalties the offence was classified as a two (2) match sanction. An early guilty plea enabled the player to reduce the penalty to a one (1) match sanction.

3. Melee
The following players accepted reprimands for engaging in a melee during the Pre-Season game between East Perth and South Fremantle at Leederville Oval on Saturday, July 11.

East Perth – Rohan Kerr, Jackson Ramsay, Nicholas Robertson, Corey Watts and Kye Willcocks.
South Fremantle – Zachary Dent and Jimmy Miller.

Based on the available video evidence the Match Review Panel concluded that each player had committed a low level offence. Under the table of penalties this was classified as a one (1) match sanction. An early guilty plea enabled each player to reduce their penalty to a reprimand.
