ALL four WAFL matches in Round 13 on Saturday afternoon have plenty at stake for all eight teams involved as we start to head towards the business end of the 2017 season.

Round 13 gets underway with the battle of the two struggling teams of 2017 with the winless East Fremantle hosting the second last placed Perth at East Fremantle Oval.

The game gets underway from 1.40pm and will be live on 7mate with the Sharks looking for a first win of 2017, and the Demons for their third and to snap a three-game losing run. A win for East Fremantle and it’s a real possibility they could still avoid the wooden spoon in 2017.

The other three matches begin at 2.15pm with West Perth hosting South Fremantle at HBF Arena with second position going on the line.

Both teams enter the clash with seven wins for the season with the Bulldogs ahead on percentage but the Falcons having a game on hand meaning it’s a huge clash for both in the context of how their 2017 might turn out.

Claremont is back at Claremont Oval for the second straight week after ending its losing run on home turf last week. This Saturday’s opponent is Swan Districts. The Tigers can stay in the finals hunt with a win while Swans will remain in the top five with a victory of their own.

The Leederville Oval co-tenants are also set to do battle in a tremendous contest with Subiaco taking on East Perth. The Lions are clear on top of the ladder having won 10 straight while the Royals had won five in-a-row prior to last week’s bye to be on the verge of breaking into the top five.

The fourth placed reigning premiers Peel Thunder have the bye.
