The 2018 McDonald’s WAFL Premiership Season was officially launched at a special event hosted by the WA Football Commission at Optus Stadium on Wednesday March 28.
More than a hundred people filled the Locker Room at the new stadium including representatives of the competition’s major broadcast sponsors – Channel 7, McDonald’s TABtouch, KIA, and Optus.
Other special guests included the WAFC Board of Commissioners, Fremantle Football Club CEO Steve Rosich and West Coast Eagles CEO Trevor Nisbett.
The event concluded with a live media conference involving all nine WAFL coaches.
Round 1 of the WAFL kicks of this Good Friday at Bendigo Bank Stadium (Peel Thunder v East Fremantle) and Leederville Oval (Subiaco v East Perth) before Perth do battle with Swan Districts on Saturday and West Perth clash with Claremont live on 7mate.
