The Australian Women’s Football Fund is excited to announce the 2023 Community Grants Program, with nominations now open.
The program has been established to support the growth of women and girls in community football by:
• Creating safe and inclusive environments.
• Increasing participation for women and girls (on and off the field).
• Increasing participation opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women and girls, and women and girls from culturally diverse communities.
The Women and Girls Community Football Grants Program for those eligible provides funding ranging from $2,500 for clubs and $5,000 for leagues.
Troy Kirkham, Executive Manager Game Development and Community Football at the West Australian Football Commission, encourages local clubs and leagues to participate.
“These grants provide an excellent opportunity for all community clubs to continue to support the growth of female participation within their local community,” Kirkham said.
There are opportunities to apply for grants to fund items such as training equipment, professional development and education, and for providing safe and inclusive environments.”
The Women and Girls Community Football Grants Program closes June 30.
