Coaches from all five WAFL teams competing in this year’s highly anticipated AHG Finals Series fronted the media at the WAFL AHG Finals Series Launch held at Domain Stadium on Thursday, August 31.
Subiaco coach Jarrad Schofield, South Fremantle assistant coach Brett King, Peel Thunder coach Cam Shepherd, Swan Districts coach Greg Harding and West Perth coach Bill Monaghan gave us an insight into their club’s on-field success over the course of the season and major focus heading into finals.
WA Football Commission CEO Gavin Taylor addressed the media and reinforced the significance of the final series, which culminates on September 24 with the last ever McDonald’s WAFL Grand Final at Subiaco Oval.
The AHG WAFL Finals Series kicks off this Saturday, September 2 with the Qualifying Final (South Fremantle v Peel Thunder) at Fremantle Community Bank Oval and continues on Sunday, September 3 with the Elimination Final (Swan Districts v West Perth) at Steel Blue Oval, Bassendean.
