Footy Fundamentals, WA’s newest AFL and fundamental movement skills program just for toddlers is expanding in 2015 and will now be held at Kitchener Park, Subiaco on Tuesdays and Thursdays as well as HBF Arena, Joondalup, on Monday and Saturday mornings, starting on the 9th of February.

The WA Football Commission program is a seven week program aimed at using AFL to help develop toddlers’ fundamental movement skills. The program has been very successful in Joondalup since its inception in 2013 and is now moving further south to capture a larger market.

The West Perth, Subiaco and Claremont Football Districts have partnered and offer the program to toddlers aged 2-5 years on a Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday morning. It consists of three age groups including Tiger Cubs (2-3 yrs), Falcon Fledglings (3-4 yrs) and the Lion Kings (4-5 yrs).

Accredited AFL coaches and skilled staff coach the children through various games, skill development, obstacle courses and activities. The program is suitable for children of all abilities and promotes the values of teamwork, listening skills, and active parent participation. Toddlers crawl, balance, run, tackle, kick, handball, throw and mark their way through the seven weeks, and develop their fundamental movement skills, which is vital during a child’s development phase.

Footy Fundamentals is priced well below that of competitor toddler sports programs, and any profits that are made directly benefit community football in WA.

There is currently 50% off the First Quarter price at Subiaco on Tuesday and Thursday morning. Be quick in joining as there is a high demand for the program and will close once the positions are filled.

You can find out more information about the program and join now by visiting www.footyfundamentals.com.au or contacting Kathy or Andrew on 9300 3611.
