Lucas Robinson

Club: South Fremantle

Position: Midfielder

Average disposals: 27

The Bulldogs young gun from Lake Grace produced a stunning senior debut in the midfield, racking up 27 disposals to go with a game-high 14 contested possessions and nine clearances to enhance his AFL draft credentials.

Aaron Clarke

Club: Perth

Position: Key forward

Average goals: 7

Clarke is one of the early favourites for the Bernie Naylor Medal after booting seven goals straight in the Demons’ big win over West Coast on Good Friday.

Represented the KIA WAFL State Team last season and looks set for another massive year in the WAFL.

Cooper Stephens

Club: East Perth

Position: Midfielder

Average disposals: 31

How good was it seeing Cooper Stephens finally made his East Perth debut at the weekend after his first season in the WAFL was ruined by a serious knee injury?

He didn’t disappoint either, amassing 31 disposals and kicking a goal at the Royals fell just short of victory against Subiaco.

Max Chipper

Club: Swan Districts

Position: Wing

Average disposals: 24

The Swan Districts running machine started the season strongly in his side’s Good Friday loss to the reigning champs.

Can find plenty of the footy and runs all day.

Bailey Rogers

Club: Claremont

Position: Midfielder

Average goals: 3

It’s exciting to see Bailey Rogers back to his brilliant best after some injury troubles in recent seasons.

The Sandover Medal winner is making the most of a rare full pre-season, racking up the possessions and drifting forward to hit the scoreboard.

Lachlan Tardrew

Club: Peel Thunder

Position: Midfielder

Average disposals: 27

The former Collingwood VFL gun made an impressive start to his WAFL career, finishing with 27 touches and a goal in the Thunder’s Good Friday victory over East Fremantle in Mandurah.

Coming off a premiership in the Northern Territory Football League with Nightcliff, Tardrew will only get better as the season goes on as he adjusts to the WAFL.

Oskar Smartt

Club: East Fremantle

Position: Forward

Average goals: 4

Smartt put his name on the WAFL map with a stunning four-goal debut for East Fremantle.

The former Essendon forward has a real crack and is going to be an X-Factor in the Sharks’ forward-line.

Frazer Rickson

Club: Subiaco

Position: Ruck

Average hit-outs: 22

Another first-gamer in Round 1, young tall Frazer Rickson acquitted himself well against one of the best in the business in East Perth man mountain Scott Jones.

Rickson will continue to grow in confidence with every week and looks to be a real find for the Lions.

Sasha Kernutt

Club: West Coast

Position: Small forward

Average goals: 2

Kernutt is back in the WAFL this season and takes on his former team West Perth – who he won a premiership with – this weekend.

The dangerous small forward kicked two goals in his official West Coast WAFL debut after a strong pre-season and is a handy addition to the competition’s newest team.

Connor West

Club: West Perth

Position: Midfield

Average disposals: 29

West is back in the WAFL for his original club West Perth and was one of the shining lights in his side’s tough defeat to Claremont in Round 1.

The former West Coast-listed midfielder adds experience and toughness to the Falcons and will be a consistent contributor in 2026.
