West Coast have named 17 AFL-listed players for Friday night clash against East Perth at Sullivan Logistics Stadium, while reigning fairest-and-best winner Thomas Edwards-Baldwin returns from a hip injury.

The Eagles made three changes from their Round 10 victory over Swan Districts with Tom Gross and Harvey Johnston omitted from the AFL side and Edwards-Baldwin returning.

Key-position player Jack Williams (AFL) and WAFL-listed pair Josh Burke (back injury) and Sasha Kernutt are the listed outs.

Dangerous small forward Malakai Champion is free to play after being cleared by the WAFL Tribunal on Tuesday night in a massive boost for the Eagles’ hopes of knocking off last season’s grand finalists.

The Royals have been hit hard by injury in recent weeks and lose several more key players after their horror 98-point thrashing at the hands of ladder leaders Peel Thunder in Mandurah last weekend.

Young defender Ethan Regan has been ruled out for the season with a knee injury, State representative Stan Wright hurt his calf late in the match and luckless former first-round AFL draft pick Cooper Stephens is battling an Achilles issue.

Former West Coast speedster Coby Burgiel is also out after accepting a two-game suspension for kneeing an opposition player.

Forward Tom Medhat is set to be used in defence, while livewire Tyler Lindberg, small forward Will Cassidy and second-gamer Aniello Pizzolante also come back into the side.

The match kicks off at 7.10pm and is live and free on 7Plus.

The remainder of the Round 12 teams will be revealed on Thursday evening.
