It comes as Swan Districts young gun Harley Cummings, the son of champion AFL goal-kicker and 1999 Coleman Medal winner Scott, has been named for his senior debut against Subiaco at Sullivan Logistics Stadium.
Cummings, 18, has been rewarded for his decent form in the reserves, booting six goals and averaging seven marks in his last four appearances.
The 196cm swingman comes into the Black Ducks line-up alongside former Dockers rookie Jarvis Pina who returns from a leg injury, Kade Chalcraft, Ethyn Kane, Jez Rigoni and important defender Brandon Erceg.
Ruckman Nathan Blakely (retired) and tagger Seb Bright (suspended) are among the outs, with defender Jake Pasini and young gun Blake Kelly also sidelined.
Last week’s three-goal hero Nick Girolami is a big out for the Lions after sustaining a knee injury in the win over East Fremantle, but Petruccelle’s inclusion will help cover the loss.
Cox comes into the Thunder side alongside young AFL-listed tall Aiden Riddle, with Doig Medal winner Sean Darcy earning a recall for the Dockers.
First-round pick Adam Sweid is back after a game in the reserves, with WAFL-listed pairs Jonathon Ietto and Dustin Walters also getting a promotion to the ones.
Defender Tristan Bryce is sidelined with a hamstring injury with experienced pair Jaeger O’Meara, Corey Wagner and first-year Docker Chris Scerri (AFL extended squad) also listed as out but could come back in if they’re not required for Freo’s home game against Gold Coast on Sunday.
The Falcons will be without damaging midfielder Kane Bevan who will miss through concussion and leader Luke Meadows (calf), with goalsneak forward Keegan Knott and superboot Ben Johnson among the inclusions.
The Sharks regain the services of enigmatic forward-midfielder Smartt for their inaugural Kai-Fella Game against Claremont at The Good Grocer Park.
Smartt is in alongside debutant Kaiden Summerell, a 19-year-old former State 16s representative who’s been impressing in the twos.
Kyle Baskerville is out with a hamstring injury in a massive loss for the home side, while Sandover Medal winner and co-captain Bailey Rogers is out for Claremont.
Youngster Austin van der Struyf comes in for Rogers after getting through his first game of the season in the reserves before the bye.
Perth have made one change for their clash against reigning champs South Fremantle with co-captain Byrne back and important defender Elijah Scoble out.
The Bulldogs get star midfielder Parker back from suspension with young tall Ed Graham also returning.
State defender Noah Strom (personal) and forward Jordan Boullineau (ankle) are both out.
