Back to articles

The West Australian Football Commission (WAFC) is aware of several incidents on the field of play during the Peel Conference Year 11/12Grand Final match between Secret Harbour and Halls Head on Sunday, September 11.

The WAFC is carrying out a full Match Review procedure as outlined in our Junior Competition Policies, Rules and Regulations and appropriate penalties will be applied.

This includes referring any incidents to the Community Football Tribunals required.

To ensure the safety, privacy, and integrity of Match Review processes, the WAFC will not disclose any information about the players involved as this information is protected under the AFL’s Member Protection Policy.

The WAFC takes incidents like these seriously and will also work with the Western Australian Police as required.

Violence of any sort is never accepted or tolerated in Western Australian football and the safety of players and spectators must be paramount.

There will be no further comment at this stage.
