WE could very well be in store for the best round of the 2021 Optus WAFLW Premiership Season this weekend with all three games pitting evenly matched opponents against one another highlighted by the top-of-the-table clash between Swan Districts and Claremont.

This round couldn’t possibly be better set up in terms of the even nature of all three contests with first and second going at it, third and fourth playing off, and then the fifth and sixth placed teams also playing one another.

Round 6 in the WAFLW season gets underway with what could very well be the game of the season so far on Saturday at Bassendean’s Steel Blue Oval.

The winner would deserve every right to call themselves premiership favourites too and it pits Swan Districts up against Claremont from 11am. The game will be streamed live thanks to Front Row Screens.

The second game in Round 6 then takes place at Leederville Oval from 5pm on Saturday evening with Subiaco hosting South Fremantle.

They played off back in Round 1 with the Lions winning that game but neither team has won a game since so this clash looms as a golden chance for one of them to taste that winning feeling once more.

The last game of Round 6 then pits the first two premiers from the opening two WAFLW seasons up against one another with East Fremantle hosting Peel Thunder at East Fremantle’s New Choice Homes Park.

That game begins at 2pm and will be live streamed thanks to The West Australian.
