State Talent and Draft"
The National Women’s competition is just around the corner and all female footballers interested in representing WA in the AFL are being encouraged to trial for the following state teams in 2016;
Significant changes have occurred with State 16 Schoolgirls changing to State 15 Schoolgirls, the opportunity for 44 U18 Youth Girls to be named an All Australian and play on the MCG prior to the Women’s Exhibition Game, the introduction of a State U23 competition initiated by WA, to be held in Queensland and a return stoush against the Vics – this time in their backyard! Couple this with regional trips to Northam and Kalgoorlie for members of the State Female Talent Academy and there is plenty of opportunity for WA’s talented female football players to demonstrate their skills.
