Kennards Hire will continue its partnership with the McDonald’s WAFL Broadcast on the Seven Network for a further two seasons following a successful 2015 season.

Kennards Hire had an opportunity to opt out of their current contract at the end of the first year but have now committed to a further two years in a positive sign for the broadcasting of the 2016 and 2017 McDonald’s WAFL seasons.

Kennards Hire WA General Manager Tony Symons said he was pleased with the company’s end of season media results and can only see the WAFL competition continuing to grow over the coming seasons.

“We see a great opportunity in being able to better connect with each of the nine WAFL Clubs as well as the broader football community as we look to strengthen our partnership with the WA Football Commission,” Mr Symons said.

West Australian Football Commission CEO Gary Walton was delighted to confirm Kennards Hire were extending their successful partnership.

“We have a fantastic group of Broadcast Partners all committed now through to at least the end of 2017, which guarantees our premier state league competition remains live and free on the Seven Network,” Mr Walton said.

“I encourage all of our football stakeholders to utilise not only Kennards Hire, but all sponsors that support football in WA.”

The McDonald’s WAFL 2015 season saw the average television audience increase by 55 percent on last year and a 31 percent growth in the cumulative television audience.
