A new game-day experience is set to elevate the way you watch footy during the WAFL competition in 2024.  

Footy fans will have plenty to cheer about as the new footy festival WAFL Wonderland rolls out to various ovals during the season. 

Nine games across the first 10 rounds will be turned into WAFL Wonderland, where fans can expect a festival atmosphere. The event will feature kids’ activities, a DJ, food trucks, bars, giveaways for the whole family, and much more.  

WAFL Wonderland will launch in Joondalup on Easter Thursday for the opening game of the season, where the mighty West Perth Falcons take on the Claremont Tigers under brand-new lights. 

West Australian Football Commission CEO Michael Roberts said the league was excited to introduce WAFL Wonderland, which boosts game-day attendance. 

“We are really excited to introduce WAFL Wonderland, which will provide a festival atmosphere for fans while enhancing their game-day experience,” Roberts said. 

“Fans will enjoy an exciting game of football and indulge in family-friendly activities.  

“Plus, with free entry for kids, it's an affordable way to keep the whole family entertained for the day.”
