Three West Australians have been named in the All-Australian side following the 2025 Marsh AFL National Development Championships – U16 Girls.
Peel Thunder pair Charlie Fletcher and Tiama Collard were rewarded for their performances as was West Perth’s Arybella Nelson.
Selected to play on the wing, Fletcher was named WA’s MVP for the National Championships after averaging 23 disposals and seven tackles across the two matches.
Her breakaway speed and clean ball handling were a highlight and the Peel Thunder product is equally as comfortable in the contest or playing as an outside midfielder.
Named on the interchange, Collard secured her second All-Australian guernsey following a dominant performance in game one against South Australia where she racked up 27 disposals and also laid seven effective tackles.
Tiama was named in the forward line last year but showed her versatility by playing in the midfield in this year’s Championships.
Selected on a half back flank, Nelson was impassable down back and her 17 rebound 50’s in two games would have caught the eye of All-Australia selectors.
As an under-age prospect, Bella will be hoping to be back representing WA in 2026.
WA finished third in Pool A at the Championships behind Victoria Metro and winners South Australia.
Trent Cooper, Manager Female Talent Programs and coaching Specialist, believes the trio thoroughly deserved their selection.
“All three came into the Championships in strong form from club level and delivered outstanding performances on the national stage,” Cooper said.
“What’s most exciting is that they’re still only scratching the surface of their potential.
“We hope this recognition propels them to even greater achievements in the future.”
