Western Australian opens its campaign in the 2025 Marsh AFL National Championships – U18 Boys with a home match against Victoria Country.
The Championships begin this weekend with The Allies and South Australia playing the opening game of the carnival at Blacktown International Sports Park on Sunday, June 1.
The 2025 Marsh AFL National Championships – U18 Boys will be played from Sunday, June 1 to Sunday, July 20.
WA, The Allies, South Australia, Victoria Country and Victoria Metro will each play each other once in the round-robin series.
The Allies will again comprise players from the ACT, New South Wales, Northern Territory, Queensland and Tasmania.
The team that finishes atop the standings at the conclusion of the carnival will be crowned title winner.
If two teams finish equal on points atop the ladder, the title will be awarded to the team that won the round-robin match between those teams.
If more than two teams finish equal on points atop the ladder, the title will be awarded to the team with the highest percentage.
Victoria Metro is the reigning title holder after producing an undefeated campaign last year.
WA finished third on the table.
The Larke Medal for the competition best and fairest and the All Australian team will be selected by a panel comprising AFL Talent Pathways staff and AFL club recruiters at the conclusion of the 2025 Marsh AFL National Championships – U18 Boys.
Victoria Country skipper Harvey Langford and Allies midfielder Leo Lombard claimed the Larke Medal in 2024.
Previous winners of the award include Christian Petracca, Sam Walsh, Will Ashcroft, Ryley Sanders and Lachie Whitfield.

ABOUT THE MARSH AFL NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
The Marsh AFL National Championships and Marsh AFL National Development Championships are the highest standard of representative state and territory football for aspiring talented footballers.
The competitions will feature the most talented under 18 and under 16 footballers from across Australia who are the next generation of stars in the game.
The 2025 Marsh AFL National Development Championships – U16 Boys will feature 10 teams playing in two pools and will commence with a double-header in Melbourne on Monday, June 9.
The first round of fixtures will see matches played across four states and territories.
All matches in the final two rounds will be played on the Gold Coast from July 14 to 18.
The 2025 Marsh AFL National Championships – U18 Girls will be played from Saturday, June 22 to Sunday, August 10.
The Marsh AFL National Championships – U18 Girls will again feature six teams, who will each play four matches.
