Feb 27, 2015 | WA Football
Back to articles

In 2014 Female Football in WA had an increase of 78.27% with a total of 33,571 participants making up 18.79% of Total Participation and with further growth predicted this year, we again look to engage more Females to the game in a coaching capacity to support this.

The WAFC will be running a female only course that caters for Auskick, Junior, Youth & Senior coaches for the first time. Ladies are welcome to attend any coaching course but through a female only course we aim to deliver a course catered specifically to females.

For any Females looking to develop their coaching skills for Auskick/Junior/Youth/Senior age groups in a Female only environment then this is the course for you! We are encouraging Mum’s, Aunties, Teachers, Older Sisters and current players within the Youth Girls and WA Women’s Football League to attend this course and assist our future generations by developing the confidence to teach the basic skills of Football.

It is a minimum requirement that all coaches are accredited as a Level 1 Coach at the appropriate level. All coaches who do not have a current accreditation or have an accreditation that expired more than 24 months ago must attend an appropriate Level 1 course. The four levels are as follows;

Auskick (PP – Year 2)
Junior (Year 3 – Year 6)
Youth (Year 7 – Year 12)
Senior (Reserves and League)

Course Details:

Sunday 22nd March 8:00am

ATOM Stadium, East Fremantle (East Fremantle Oval)

All coaching courses are $165 and are paid upon registration via debit or credit card
