EAST Fremantle captain Mark McGough continues to lead the Sharks from the front and is now focused on taking on West Perth at home this Saturday with the aim of making up for two disappointing losses at Shark Park so far this season.
McGough is in his third season as East Fremantle captain and the former Collingwood and St Kilda midfielder continues to perhaps be the hardest working player in the competition willing himself to contest after contest.
That has seen him start the 2013 season again in tremendous form with the Sharks now sitting on a 4-2 record heading into Saturday’s clash with the also 4-2 West Perth at East Fremantle Oval on Saturday.
The Sharks have already lost twice at home this season to Swan Districts and East Perth so even though McGough has no doubt that West Perth will provide a huge challenge, they don’t want to lose again especially on home turf.
“It’s a huge game and then we have Claremont after that. We just have to continue to back up week after week. It’s a big challenge against West Perth now and if we can get over them it puts us in a really good position. It’s back to East Freo as well and we need to get a win on our home turf,” McGough said.
