Perth managed to continue its winning ways after it beat league-leading Subiaco 6.6 (42) to 4.3 (27) at Lathlain Park on Saturday, July 9.
Second last placed Claremont also caused an upset after it defeated South Fremantle 11.3 (69) to 5.8 (38) at Fremantle Community Bank Oval.
West Perth dominated the final quarter of play in its match against Peel Thunder at Bendigo Bank Stadium, beating the Thunder 8.7 (55) to 1.5 (11).
East Perth took Peel Thunder’s spot in the top five on the ladder after the team came home with a 8.10 (58) to 2.6 (18) win over Swan Districts at Steel Blue Oval.
