Ten 2027 West Aussie draft prospects will feature in this year’s Marsh AFL and AFLW National Futures squads.
Each of the squads will take part in a two-day program in Melbourne during September, which will be highlighted by a talent showcase match.
Players were nominated for the Futures programs by state talent managers, national selectors and AFL and AFLW club recruiters.
The Marsh AFL National Futures matches will assist the selection process for the 2027 Marsh AFL National Academy programs.
WA’s boys contingent is headlined by potential No.1 pick Axel Walsh of East Perth, with East Fremantle winger James Artemis, Perth key defender Fynn Tomasini and West Perth tall Rafe Williamson and Falcons ball magnet Campbell Creyk also in the squad that is set to play in the AFL Grand Final curtain-raiser at the MCG on Saturday, September 26.
Peel Thunder pair Tiama Collard and Charlotte Fletcher, West Perth father-daughter prospect Miley Hynes, Claremont forward Hannah Seaborn (pictured above) and East Fremantle’s Olivia McCay were named in the girls squad.
The Marsh AFL National Futures Girls match will be played at Windy Hill on Sunday, September 12 as a double-header with the NAB AFLW Round 5 match between Richmond and St Kilda.
The matches will be broadcast live and free on the AFL website and AFL Live Official App.
