SABREENA Duffy made an immediate impact for Peel Thunder in her first WAFLW game since last year's Grand Final to earn a spot in the Round 14 Team of the Week as just one of the standout performers across the weekend.

We had two new faces in the Team of the Week for Round 14 with Duffy joined by Subiaco's Cheney Armstrong while her Lions teammates Tiah Toth, Hanna Dethlefsen and Jaymie Harken were all named for a second time along with Peel's Ella Roberts.

Thunder pair Cassie Davidson and Kaitlyn Srhoj were named to the Team of the Week for a third time this year along with Subiaco's Abbey Dowrick and Claremont's Mikayla Western.

Tigers trio Tessa Doumanis, Brooke Whyte and Madeleine Scanlon were all named in the team for a fourth time along with Swan Districts' Abbygail Bushby.

Swans defender Lauren Osborne also made it for a fifth time and it was a seventh nomination for Claremont's Ella Smith, Peel's Chloe Wrigley and Subiaco's Tarni Golisano. It was an eight appearance then for the Thunder's Kate Bartlett and a ninth for her teammate Ebony Dowson.

The Round 14 results saw Peel Thunder consolidate third position with an impressive 7.12 (54) to 1.3 (9) victory in the Grand Final rematch at Mandurah's Lane Group Stadium.

Then on Sunday afternoon, Claremont defeated South Fremantle to lock away a top two finish beating South Fremantle 13.13 (91) to 1.3 (9) at Claremont's Revo Fitness Stadium.

The last game of the round took place at Leederville Oval with Subiaco staying in the finals hunt by defeating West Perth 6.6 (42) to 1.1 (7).

The Round 14 results in the WAFLW competition leave East Fremantle on top of the ladder with a perfect 11-0 record. Claremont have locked up second spot too with a 9-2 record and massive percentage.

Reigning premiers Peel Thunder have moved a game clear in third position at 6-5 while Swan Districts is only holding onto fourth spot by the slimmest of margins at 5-7.

Swans are only 0.67 per cent ahead of Subiaco who have a game in hand with a 5-6 record to be in front of South Fremantle (4-8) and West Perth (0-12).

It all leads to another fascinating round to come this weekend for Round 15 starting on Saturday with the third placed Peel Thunder hosting the second placed Claremont at Mandurah's Lane Group Stadium.

Then on Sunday, the undefeated East Fremantle puts that record on the line against a Subiaco team in their best run of form of the season and chasing a finals position at East Fremantle's New Choice Homes Park.

The round then wraps up with the fourth placed Swan Districts trying to hold onto that finals spot against South Fremantle at Bassendean's Steel Blue Oval.

Each week of the WAFLW season during 2022, we will be selecting a Team of the Week as well, and here's how the side for Round 14 came together.

Peel Thunder captain Cassie Davidson led her team from the front in the back-line in Saturday's big win in the Grand Final rematch against Swan Districts. She finished the afternoon with 12 possessions and seven marks.

Ebony Dowson continued her superb season for the Thunder by earning a spot in the Team of the Week for a ninth time in 2022 to be named at the half-back flank. She finished with 18 touches, three marks and two entries inside the forward 50.

Kaitlyn Srhoj was another impressive ball winner in the win over Swans for the Thunder on Saturday to earn her a spot on the wing. She ended the game with 14 disposals, five tackles, four inside 50s and two marks.

Kate Bartlett continued to be the standout forward in the competition. She kicked another three goals from 11 kicks to be named to the forward-line again for the eighth time this season having kicked 38 goals from 11 matches.

Chloe Wrigley was also outstanding for the Thunder in the victory against the Swans by delivering 17 possessions, eight tackles and four entries inside the forward 50 to earn a spot in the Team of the Week for a seventh time.

Sabreena Duffy then made a stunning first appearance of the 2022 season for Peel. Playing her first game since last year's Grand Final victory also against Swan Districts, she delivered 18 touches, three tackles, three inside 50s and two tackles.

Ella Roberts was also impressive for Peel and earned a spot in the Team of the Week for a second time in 2022 following 14 touches, five inside-50 entries and a goal.

It was a tough afternoon for Swan Districts in the loss to Peel on Saturday but Lauren Osborne still stood tall in the back-line to earn a spot in the Team of the Week for a fifth time this season. She finished with 15 touches and five marks.

Abbygail Bushby was another player who was still able to play well for Swan Districts despite the result against the Thunder. She stood out once more with another 21 possessions, six marks and four inside-50 entries.

Claremont had a big win over South Fremantle at home on Sunday with Madeleine Scanlon superb again in the back-line to be named to centre half-back in the Team of the Week. She finished the game with 11 possessions and two marks.

Mikayla Western booked a spot on the wing in the Team of the Week after she delivered 15 disposals, two marks and two inside-50 entries in the Tigers' victory.

Brooke Whyte was named to the Team of the Week for a fourth time in the 2022 season on the back of kicking three goals for Claremont from 17 touches and seven marks.

Matilda Dyke produced an impressive showing in the ruck for the Tigers to take that position in the Team of the Week on the back of nine disposals, 20 hit outs and five tackles.

Ella Smith had another standout display in the win for Claremont as well to book in a spot for the seventh time in 2022. Smith kicked two goals for the Tigers along with collecting 15 touches, four inside 50s, three marks and three tackles.

Then later on Sunday, Subiaco proved too good for West Perth and Tiah Toth continued her impressive form for the Lions to be named to the Team of the Week for a second straight week. She finished with 14 touches, two marks, two tackles and two inside-50 entries.

Tarnica Golisano booked in a place in the Team of the Week for a seventh occasion on the back of starring for Subiaco again with a massive 29 possessions along with 15 tackles to be named in the centre position.

Hanna Dethlefsen was impressive in attack in the win for the Lions to be named at centre half-forward in the Team of the Week. She kicked three goals to go with 15 possessions and three tackles.

Abbey Dowrick was another impressive performer for the Lions against the Falcons and she kicked a goal from her 25 touches, five tackles and four inside 50s to be named to the half-forward flank.

Cheney Armstrong earned the call up for Subiaco to help in the ruck after spending the past three weeks in the reserves, and she was tremendous with 10 touches and 19 hit outs to earn a position on the interchange.

Another Subiaco player to continue her strong form was Jayme Harken. She was named to the Team of the Week for a second time on the back of 33 possessions, seven inside 50s, five tackles and three marks.
