LEVEL 2 COACHING ACCREDITATION

The Level 2 Course is a great opportunity for Youth and Senior Foundation Level Coaches to develop their coaching further. It will include a range of theory and practical components in a one day face to face program along with further assessments designed to give the coach the best chance to develop their coaching further. To complete the accreditation coaches are to complete the below requirements

• Attend 1 full day face to face session
• Complete the pre course Coaching Philosophy online module
• Complete an in season mentoring task (completed by end of season)

• Relationships & Culture
• Communication & Facilitating Learning
• Developing Training Activities
• Game Day Coaching
• Reflective Practice

Course Pre-requisites

• Must hold a CoachAFL membership and Foundation Coach accreditation
• Currently coaching at Youth/Senior level – Year 7 age group and above
• Must have a coaching mentor in place to complete the course - This is a mentor of your choice who can observe and provide feedback and support to you across the program

LEVEL 3 COACHING ACCREDITATION

The Level 3 course is a great opportunity for high performing coaches who meet the below pre-requisites to further their coaching development and achieve Level 3 Accreditation in 2024.

The program will be offered to coaches of both Male and Female Programs at AFL, WAFL and Talent Levels and Head Coaches of Senior Community and First 18 Colleges will be considered. The course will be a blended program delivered both face to face and virtually over a 12 month period.

Level 3 Course Outline

Coaches wishing to nominate for the course should meet the following criteria:

1. Hold a current AFL Level 2 Coach accreditation for a minimum of two years
2. Endorsement of their Club, Academy or State body (i.e. State Coaching Leads)
3. Evidence of a commitment to on-going education will be highly regarded when selecting between candidates of similar merit
4. Commitment to 100% attendance for all course sessions
5. Actively Coaching in Season 2024

2024 Course Program & Dates will be confirmed shortly, with the first Face to Face weekend taking place on February 17 & 18 at Ernest Johnson Reserve followed by a range of F2F workshops and online webinars between February and October with quality Coach Developers.

Course Fees: $1,200.00 per participant (inc GST)
