THERE were three more matches in Indigenous Round of the 2022 WAFLW competition across the weekend with plenty of players putting up their hands for selection in the Team of the Week.

We had five new faces in the Team of the Week for Round 15 and they were Isabella Edgley and Ruby Mahony from Swan Districts, Claremont's Brooke Hongell, East Fremantle's Melissa Caulfield and Subiaco's Dahna Lee.

Those named to the Team of the Week for a second time were East Fremantle's Mylee Leitch and Swan Districts' Emily McGuire while Claremont's Jasmine Stewart, East Fremantle's Zipporah Fish, Subiaco's Jayme Harken and Peel's Ella Roberts were named for a third occasion in 2022.

Claremont pair Paige Hamilton-Smith and Mikayla Western along with East Fremantle's Ashlee Atkins and Peel Thunder's Cassie Davidson all got picked for a fourth time this season.

Subiaco's Tess Lyons and Swan Districts' Jaime Henry got picked for a fifth occasion, East Fremantle's Sharon Wong for a sixth time, East Fremantle forward Julia Teakle for the seventh time, and it was an eighth selection for both East Fremantle's Alex Williams and Claremont's Ella Smith.

The Round 15 results saw Claremont prove too strong for East Fremantle on Saturday winning 5.10 (40) to 2.3 (15) at Mandurah's Lane Group Stadium.

Then on Sunday, East Fremantle maintained its undefeated season with an 11th consecutive victory beating Subiaco 9.9 (63) to 2.1 (13) at East Fremantle's New Choice Homes Park.

The round then wrapped up on Sunday afternoon with Swan Districts defeating South Fremantle 5.6 (36) to 2.4 (16) at Bassendean's Steel Blue Oval.

The Round 15 results in the WAFLW competition leave East Fremantle on top of the ladder with a perfect 11-0 record. Claremont have locked up second spot too with a 9-2 record and massive percentage.

Reigning premiers Peel Thunder have moved a game clear in third position at 6-5 while Swan Districts is only holding onto fourth spot by the slimmest of margins at 5-7.

Swans are only 0.67 per cent ahead of Subiaco who have a game in hand with a 5-6 record to be in front of South Fremantle (4-8) and West Perth (0-12).

It all leads to another fascinating round to come this weekend for Round 16 starting on Saturday with Swan Districts taking on Peel Thunder.

Then on Sunday, West Perth plays host to East Fremantle and Subiaco is at home to Claremont.

Each week of the WAFLW season during 2022, we will be selecting a Team of the Week as well, and here's how the side for Round 15 came together.

Claremont were impressive in Saturday's win in Mandurah against Peel with Brooke Hongell impressive in the back-line to earn a spot in the Team of the Week for a first time in 2022. She did a tremendous job shutting down Peel speedster Aisha Wright while having 13 touches and three tackles herself.

Paige Hamilton-Smith was also a strong performer in the Claremont defence to earn her spot at centre half-back in the Team of the Week. She did another strong job defensively holding Kate Bartlett to just the one goal and four kicks while having four disposals and four tackles herself.

Mikayla Western continued her terrific form for the Tigers to earn a spot in the Team of the Week for a fourth time this season. She earned a spot on the wing on the back of 14 possessions, two tackles and two goals.

Ella Smith is in the middle of quite the exceptional season for Claremont and that was evidenced by her earning a spot in the Team of the Week for an eighth occasion. She produced nine touches, six tackles and two goals in the win against the Thunder.

Jasmin Stewart was another player to deliver an impressive showing for Claremont in Mandurah. She finished with 17 possessions, three inside 50s, two marks and two tackles to earn a spot on the interchange in the Team of the Week.

It might have been a tough loss at home for Peel against Claremont, but Ella Roberts did all she could for the Thunder with 30 touches, six marks, six tackles and five inside 50s to earn a spot in the Team of the Week for a third occasion in 2022.

Peel premiership captain Cassie Davidson did all she could to try and keep the Thunder in touch of the Tigers on Saturday as well. She was named on the interchange having produced a performance made up of 20 disposals, five marks and three tackles.

Alex Williams has had quite the season for East Fremantle in the back-line to be a key reason why the Sharks remain unbeaten. She earned a spot in the Team of the Week for an eighth time after another standout defensive performance and three kicks and four tackles.

Ashlee Atkins is in a rich vein of form for East Fremantle as well to be named to the Team of the Week for a third time over the past four rounds. She was named in the centre on the back of her 21 possessions, six tackles, six inside 50s and a goal against Subiaco.

Zipporah Fish was another to deliver a strong performance in the win for the Sharks to earn a spot on the wing on the back of her 12 touches, four marks, three tackles and three entries inside the forward 50.

Melissa Caulfield earned a spot in the Team of the Week for a first time in 2022 and was named at half-forward largely on the back of the impressive defensive pressure she applied in the forward-line for East Fremantle. She also had 13 touches, six tackles, five inside 50s and four marks.

Mylee Leitch also offered East Fremantle plenty in the forward-line in the win against the Lions to earn a spot at centre half-forward. She finished the game with two goals to go with 12 touches, five marks, three tackles and three inside 50s.

Julia Teakle continued to be one of the best forward targets in the WAFLW competition for 2022 to earn a spot in the forward-line for a seventh time. She kicked another three goals from 11 touches, four tackles and three marks.

Sharon Wong was another East Fremantle player to maintain her outstanding form this season to be named to the Team of the Week for a sixth occasion. She delivered a performance made up of 21 disposals, 11 tackles, two inside 50s and two marks.

Dahna Lee took the most of her chances in the forward-line on Sunday for Subiaco against East Fremantle. She kicked two goals from six kicks, five marks and three tackles to be named to the Team of the Week for a first time in 2022.

The ruck spot for Round 15 was claimed by Subiaco's Tess Lyons. She delivered seven touches, six tackles and 24 hit outs to be included in the Team of the Week for a fifth time during the 2022 season.

Jayme Harken was another player to impress for Subiaco despite the loss to East Fremantle. She was named on the interchange of the Team of the Week after producing 22 disposals, four tackles, four inside 50s and three marks.

Swan Districts scored a much-needed win on Sunday at home to South Fremantle and Isabella Edgley was instrumental in that. Her marking down back was especially impressive and she finished with 25 touches, five marks and three tackles.

Emily McGuire is a rare player to have played with both local AFLW teams and her versatility is quite the weapon for Swan Districts with her ability to play back and forward. She settled in the back-line on Sunday and was terrific with 21 disposals and three marks.

Jaime Henry was named to the Team of the Week for a fifth time this season and earned the on-ball position for Round 15 on the back of delivering 20 touches, seven tackles, three marks, three inside 50s and two goals for Swan Districts.

Ruby Mahony was then given a place in the Team of the Week for the first time in 2022 after a terrific showing in the Swan Districts win against South Fremantle with 20 disposals and 11 tackles.
