WA female footballers will get the opportunity to play in four curtain-raisers at Domain Stadium during this year’s AFL Season.
Coming off the back of the exhilirating AFL Women’s Derby curtain-raiser, U15s Youth Girls teams the Fremantle City Dockers and Ellenbrook Dockers will play in a curtain-raiser to the Fremantle Dockers v Carlton game at Domain Stadium on Sunday, April 24.
“The televised Derby curtain-raiser has really built on the momentum and exposure of female footy in WA,” WA Female Football Coordintator Allana Dickie said.
“The matches are an opportunity to showcase the exciting pathways that are now available for young female participants.”

Female football participation increased 46% in 2015 with more than 49,000 females across the State taking part in the sport.
