AFL SportsReady trainee Jayden D’Vauz was awarded the 2013 WA Trainee of the Year Award as part of Group Training Australia WA’s awards ceremony recently.

D’Vauz, who completed his traineeship with the West Australian Football Commission in the Game Development department, was presented with his prestigious award by the WA Minister for Training, the Honourable Terry Redman.

WAFC Game Development Manager Warren Nel congratulated D’Vauz on his achievement and great work over the past two years.

“Considering any trainee across WA could have been nominated and received the award, this really is an excellent achievement. It highlights the great job that Jayden has been doing in the Game Development team here at the WAFC,” Mr Nel said.

AFL SportsReady State Manager Colin West also congratulated D’Vauz on winning the award and acknowledged the WAFC as host employer.

“AFL SportsReady also wishes to thank and acknowledge his terrific host employer, the WA Football Commission, for not only their strong support of Jayden but also our ongoing partnership,” Mr West said.
