SWAN Districts continued to be the hottest team in the WAFL with a sixth straight win in Round 14 while there were tight wins for Claremont, East Perth and East Fremantle, and Peel Thunder won big to retain top spot.

It was a full round of WAFL action on Saturday with Peel Thunder, East Perth and Swan Districts all winning to now sit clear in the top three positions while Claremont made it five in-a-row and East Fremantle stayed in touch of the top five.

The Round 14 action got underway with Peel Thunder winning big at home at Lane Group Stadium in the top against bottom clash with West Coast for the 18.8 (116) to 6.6 (42) win.

Patrick Voss kicked six goals for Peel, Matt Taberner four and Nathan O'Driscoll three while Will Brodie had 34 possessions and Neil Erasmus 30. Harley Sparks had 29 disposals for the Eagles.

It was then the annual NAIDOC Week clash between Claremont and South Fremantle at Revo Fitness Stadium with the Tigers continuing their winning form with a fifth straight victory prevailing 10.8 (68) to 8.9 (57).

Ben Elliott and Alex Manuel kicked three goals each for Claremont with Jye Bolton racking up 34 possessions and Oliver Eastland 27 with 41 hit outs. Matthew Parker had 25 touches and 12 tackles for the Bulldogs.

The co-tenants at Sullivan Logistics Stadium then took part in a tight battle with East Perth ending up prevailing 11.12 (78) to 11.9 (75) against Subiaco to remain a game clear in second spot.

Tom Medhat kicked three goals for the Royals with Mitch Crowden picking up 32 touches and Angus Schumacher 30. Ryan Borchet and Ben Sokol kicked three goals each for the Lions.

East Fremantle then needed to bounce back to stay in the finals mix and the reigning premiers did that but it was hard work to overcome Perth 9.11 (65) to 7.9 (51) at Mineral Resources Park.

Jono Marsh and Dillon O'Reilly kicked three goals each for the Sharks with Cam Eardley having 28 touches and Milan Murdock 27 with 12 tackles. Regan Clarke had 27 possessions for the Demons.

The form lines of both teams continued at Pentanet Stadium with Swan Districts winning big 21.16 (142) to 11.13 (79) against West Perth.

It was a big day for big forwards with Leigh Kohlmann returning to kick six goals for Swans and Tyler Keitel five for the Falcons. Nik Rokahr also had 33 possessions for Swans and Jye Chalcraft 32 while Luke Meadows had 33 for the Falcons.
