State Talent and DraftCreyk among West Aussies to impress in annual AFL Futures match

West Perth talent Campbell Creyk has emerged as one of WA’s top AFL Draft prospects for 2027 after a starring role in the annual AFL Futures match in Melbourne on AFL Grand Final day.
Creyk was the best of the six West Aussies to feature in the match, stacked with the best prospects for next year’s draft.
He finished with 20 disposals, eight clearances and a goal for Team Mitchell in the clash at Mission Whitten Oval on Saturday.
It came a week after the ball magnet had 37 disposals, eight marks and five clearances in the Young Guns game at The Good Grocer Park.
My personal BOG in the U17 game on the weekend was Campbell Creyk from WA who was a force through the middle, regularly extracting the ball and driving his team forwardhttps://t.co/sCyxOaCKmo

East Perth giant Axel Walsh, coming off an eye-catching senior WAFL finals campaign, was another impressive performer.
Walsh, who’s expected to be one of Tasmania’s first recruits, tallied 11 disposals, 17 hit-outs and three clearances.
East Fremantle midfielder James Artemis, fresh of winning an EGT WAFL Colts grand final against South Fremantle, had 15 disposals, five tackles and three clearances in an important role for Team Melksham.
West Perth pair Rafe Williamson (11 disposals, two clearances and two marks) and Maxim Collins (five disposals, three marks and two rebound 50s) and Perth’s Fynn Tomasini (10 disposals, three marks and three rebound 50s) also did some good things.
