Falcon flies high at AFLW Draft Combine

WA’s top prospect Cara Dziegielewski starred at this week’s AFLW National Draft Combine in Melbourne to solidify her position as a top-five pick.

The smooth-moving West Perth ruck recorded a pair of top-10 finishes in the final day of testing, including topping the running vertical jumps with an impressive feat of 75cm.

Dziegielewski, fresh off a brilliant season which included winning the AAMI WA Football State 18s Girls MVP award as well as earning AFLW Under-18s All-Australian selection, also came equal-fourth in the standing vertical jumps with a 57cm jump and ninth in the 20m sprint with a blistering time of 3.228 seconds.

It followed up her excellent work in the 1.6km time trial where she showcased her endurance with a top-10 finish and second in her group with a time of 5:58.
