West Perth has clinched a sponsorship coup just days out from the start of the 2022 WAFL season.
The Falcons home ground in Joondalup will now be known as Pentanet Stadium after the local internet and cloud-gaming company joined forces with the club.
The name change is part of Pentanet’s two-year Principal Partner sponsorship with the West Perth Football Club.
West Perth President Dr Neale Fong has declared the deal a huge win for both parties.
“The club is extremely excited to grow football, not just for West Perth, but in general.
This a great partnership and we intend to work hard alongside Pentanet for the next two years to bring value to the company, our club, and the community,” Fong said.
Pentanet wants to reactivate the Joondalup venue and create a space for esports and a digital future, with engaging schools a priority.
“Pentanet is a grassroots WA business and as a local team we’re proud to support a fantastic club like the Falcons and stay connected with our community,” Pentanet Managing Director Stephen Cornish said.
West Perth coach Darren has welcomed the agreement.
“Partnerships like this are the backbone of WAFL clubs, and to be working with a WA company that has the best interests of the community at heart is great for the club, the players and the game,” Harris said.
