COMING off the WA Day long weekend, there's just the three games in Round 10 of the WAFL but there's plenty at stake across each of them spread over Saturday and Sunday this weekend.

After some tremendous action and huge crowds turning out in the five games across three days for the WA Day long weekend, Peel Thunder, Perth, South Fremantle and Swan Districts have the bye this weekend

The three games in Round 10 of the 2024 season will be fascinating and it gets underway on Saturday morning at 10am at Sullivan Logistics Stadium with Subiaco at home to the West Coast Eagles.

Subiaco has now slipped to a 2-6 record on the season with five straight losses so the Lions need to start breathing life back into their season up against an Eagles team having now strung consecutive wins together for the first time since 2021.

The other two Round 10 matches take place on Sunday afternoon beginning with a tantalising match up between East Perth and Claremont.

The two teams last met in the finals last year and now the Royals are home at Sullivan Logistics Stadium on a five-game winning run on top of the WAFL. The Tigers, though, were impressive to beat Peel Thunder last week to improve to 3-5 to be back in the finals mix.

The last game of the round is at Fremantle Community Bank Oval with East Fremantle playing West Perth with both teams coming off WA Day derby losses to their arch rivals.

West Perth captain Dean Munns was frustrated to have not got over the line in the WA Day derby with East Perth, but is looking forward to the challenge against the Sharks this Sunday.

"It's pretty frustrating and it has been a bit of a common story over the last few games for us really. We did a lot right but just couldn’t get over the line and get the job done," Munns said.

"They're a quality team the Sharks, obviously they lost someone in the mid-season draft as well and they're getting a guys back from injury. We just have to go out and play our best footy, and hopefully that's good enough to get the win."
