THE BIG WINNERS
Swan Districts' team on paper at least looks too talented not to play finals football and the black-and-whites showed what it is capable of thumping Perth by 89 points at home on Saturday.

With experienced campaigners Tallan Ames, Kyle Hams, Justin Simpson, Wayde Twomey, Tim Geappen, Brett Robinson, Shaun Hildebrandt, Graham Jetta, Matt Riggio, Ryan Davis, Tom Roach and Tony Notte, combined with youngsters Dayle Garlett, Kirk Ugle and Rory Lobb, it is a strong looking squad.

Swans had also been disappointing at home so far this season winning just once before Saturday but they emphatically turned that around and the win saw them replace Perth in fourth position.

THE BIG LOSERS
Perth slipped out of the top-four for the first time this season with Saturday's big loss to Swan Districts at Steel Blue Oval.

The Demons beat Peel in Round 1 and have remained inside the top-four ever since up until the weekend when Swans not only beat them, but did so by such a margin that their percentage leap frogged that of Perth's for them to take the Demons' fourth position on the ladder.

After such a good start to the season, Perth has now lost four of its last six matches to face a big ask to play finals still for the first time since 1997.
