Claremont 10.9 (69) v East Perth 0.2 (2)
The two undefeated sides had huge victories on Saturday, Claremont led by two astonishing performances from their stars.
Juliet Kelly won 48 disposals, laid 10 tackles and kicked a goal, while Matilda Sergeant found the football 44 times, as the Tigers pair ran amok at Revo Fitness Stadium.
Claremont had nine individual goalkickers as they pushed their percentage out to 212%.
There was nothing to write home about for the Royals, who have still won just one game over the winless Demons.
West Perth 8.8 (56) v Perth 8.3 (51)
Perth put up their most competitive performance of the year, giving up 2.3 to nothing in the last quarter to squander what would have been their first win of 2025.
The Demons trailed by a point at the main break, before taking a 10-point advantage into three quarter time, but the Falcons kicked two goals in the opening eight minutes of the final term to steal the game and win all three games that their club played over the weekend.
The Falcons moved inside the top four on the back of a combined five goals from Sara Riou and Chloe Metcalf, while Emily Bennett (24 touches, eight tackles) and Lexi Strachan (20 touches, one goal) impressed.
Isabella Shannon has had a great year for Perth and her 28 disposal, 12 tackle and a goal performance, along with great contributions from Gema Dix (26 disposals, five tackles, one goal) and Molly Worne (36 hit outs) nearly dragged the home side over the line.
Swan Districts 8.5 (53) v South Fremantle 6.3 (39)
Swan Districts further established themselves as the main competitor to either Subiaco or Claremont, winning their sixth game of the season.
Draft prospect Carys D’Addario carried on her spectacular draft year form, collecting 23 disposals and laying nine tackles, while partner-in-crime Jaime Henry added 19 disposals and laid 12 tackles.
Taylah Edwards booted four majors for the Black Ducks to move into equal first in the competition with Zoe Huggett, who kicked three of her own for the opposition.
Tahleah Mulder was the best of the Bulldogs with 22 disposals and 14 tackles, while the ruck battle between Lauren Quaife and Charlie Vandenburg was fascinating.
Subiaco 13.6 (84) v Peel Thunder 0.1 (1)
The other crushing win of the weekend was by league leaders Subiaco as they stormed to an 83-point win over Peel Thunder on Sunday.
Subiaco kicked nine goals to nothing in the first half and kept the Thunder goalless all game.
The three stars led from the front, Krstel Petrevski (36 disposals, five tackles), Paige Sheppard (32 disposals, seven marks) and Lisa Steane (29 disposals, nine marks, six tackles) doing what they’ve done all year.
Speaking of doing what they’ve done all year, Chloe Wrigley still managed to grab 26 touches of the football, whilst teammate Ebony Dawson won 22 possessions and took eight marks.
Draft prospect Olivia Wolmarans kicked three goals from six opportunities, while Aimee Schmidt and Charlotte Tompkin were those of the Lions’ eight goalkickers to
end with multiples.
The win puts Subiaco on top of the table due to a percentage of 286%, while Peel slipped to seventh on the ladder.
