East Fremantle 3.3 (21) v South Fremantle 1.6 (12)

The Sharks got the chocolates in the Fremantle Derby on Friday night in wet weather football, keeping the Bulldogs to three behinds in the final three quarters.

Despite this, South Fremantle led by a single point at the final break, but a late goal from Eve Wilson-Sieber, one of her two for the night, sealed the deal for the home team.

Young gun Noa McNaughton was East Fremantle’s best, posting 18 disposals and laying nine tackles, while Madison Evans, Mylee Leitch and Cienna Leslie all found plenty of the ball.

South Fremantle comfortably won the disposal count but couldn’t make it count on the scoreboard.

Renee Morgan (26 touches, nine tackles), Tahleah Mulder (23 touches, eight tackles and Bailey Hunt (21 touches, 13 tackles) all battled hard.

West Perth 6.5 (41) v East Perth 2.2 (14)

The Falcons led all night on Friday to run out 27-point winners over East Perth in the derby. Jess Verbrugge continues to perform well this season for the Royals, but outside of her 28 disposal, four mark and seven tackle game, not enough contributed. Madison Dodd led all comers for West Perth with 26 disposals and eight tackles, while young star Lexi Strachan was outstanding with 24 disposals, six tackles and two goals. Hayley Bidefield also booted two, while Emily Bennett impressed with 23 touches, five tackles and a game-high eight marks in the wet.

Subiaco 6.2 (38) v Perth 3.3 (21)

Perth competed hard for the second week in a row, ultimately falling thanks to three last quarter goals to the Lions.

Draft prospect Olivia Wolmarans kicked two goals to take her season total to 13, while Krstel Petrevski also kicked two from 23 disposals and eight tackles.

Paige Sheppard and Lisa Steane continued their phenomenal seasons, combining for 44 disposals, 14 tackles and a goal. Holly Britton (31disposals, five tackles) was the best of the Demons, whilst Isabella Shannon (20 touches, five tackles) was also solid.

Claremont 8.3 (51) v Swan Districts 2.6 (18)

The Tigers proved there are two teams to beat at the top of the ladder, defeating third placed Swan Districts by 33 points at Steel Blue Oval on Saturday.

Despite 29 disposals from draft prospect Carys D’Addario and her running mate Jaime Henry posting 23 disposals and 11 tackles, Swans kicked just one goal after quarter time.

Taylah Edwards was held goalless for the first time since round 1.

Megan Green and Taylah Orzel kicked two goals apiece for the Tigers, while Matilda Sergeant won 28 disposals and Sarah Viney, Juliet Kelly and Emma Henderson combined to lay 33 tackles.
