WAFLW Round 13 RecapTuesday, July 1, 2025 - 9:45 AM

South Fremantle 8.13 (61) v East Perth 0.1 (1)

It wasn’t the night East Perth was chasing on Friday, suffering a heavy defeat to the Bulldogs who remain inside the finals equation in every grade.

Multiple goals to Shannyn Pomersbach, Annalie Polimeno and Pippa Sideris boosted South Fremantle, as did big performances from Charlie Vandenberg, Tahleah Mulder, Kelli Elliss and Jasmine Bazeley.

Sabella Banks, Stefany Stack and Summer Mollross gave it everything but to no avail.

Subiaco 9.8 (62) v Peel Thunder 1.3 (9)

Subiaco drew level with Claremont again atop the WAFLW ladder despite the Tigers’ game in hand after a big win over the Thunder.

Chloe Shearing booted three majors whilst Aimee Schmidt and Liela Rowe each converted multiple goals as well.

The Lions big three midfield fired on all cylinders again with Paige Sheppard (32 disposals, one goal), Krstel Petrevski (28 disposals) and Lisa Steane (22 disposals, 10 tackles) all dominant.

Tess Lyons was also superb in the ruck.

Chloe Wrigley and Ebony Dowson found plenty of the football, while Cassie Davidson won 22 disposals and laid 10 tackles for the home side, who fell even further from the top five.

Claremont 6.2 (38) v Swan Districts 4.5 (29)

As has been a theme this season, Swan Districts pushed a top two side all game but fell short despite having more scoring shots than the Tigers.

Hannah Seaborn and Kayley King each nailed three goals for their respective sides, while for Swan Districts Jaime Henry was outstanding, gathering 25 disposals and laying a whopping 17 tackles.

Indiana West and Sumer Yarran also found lots of the ball for the Black Ducks, while Lauren Quaife won 46 hit outs.

Jayme Harken led the way for the victors with 18 possessions and 10 tackles, while Mackenzie Webb, Sarah Viney and Jayde Musika were also amongst the best.

East Fremantle 6.4 (40) v West Perth 4.4 (28)

East Fremantle drew level with West Perth on the ladder after running out narrow winners over the Falcons on Sunday afternoon.

Madison Evans, Sarah Wielstra, Amber Kinnane and young gun Noa McNaughton led the way for the Sharks, who lost the inside 50 count by 13, but two goals apiece from Wielstra and Larissa Versaci sealed the win.

Liliana Grassenis, Emily Bennett and Taylor Ferguson all performed well for the visitors, but it wasn’t enough to get over the line.

Both sides now sit just a game outside of the top four, with the Falcons heading into a bye week.
