Round 15 WAFLW Recap - Bulldogs, Tigers suffer shock losses as Demons clinch second winTuesday, July 15, 2025 - 1:10 PM

West Perth 5.12 (42) v East Perth 1.3 (9)

Emily Bennett, Madison Dodd and Hayley Bidefield produced big games to lead the Falcons to a comfortable victory over the Royals on Friday night, as the wet conditions brought a relatively low-scoring affair to Joondalup.

The Falcons are now just one game outside of the top four with a chance to upset the Lions next week.

Elly Sara impressed for the Royals, as did Jorja Elisseou.

Boorloo 5.12 (42) v Peel Thunder 3.1 (19)

The Demons won a second game in their inaugural WAFLW season in a dominant performance against the Thunder.

Isabella Shannon has played some superb football this year and it paid off in a win on Sunday after she accumulated 37 disposals, took nine marks and kicked a goal from five scoring shots as she was clearly the best on ground.

Peel had Chloe Wrigley, as she has done all year, collect plenty of the ball as did Kayla Bradshaw and Cassie Davidson who also kicked two goals.

However, the Demons, who had more than four times the scoring shots of the visiting side, led for the entirety of the game.

East Fremantle 4.6 (30) v Claremont 3.0 (18)

In the upset of the round, the Sharks took down the Tigers in a come-from-behind victory thanks to final quarter goals from Amber Kinnane and Grace Freeman.

Kinnane booted two for the day, while Ashleigh Gomes led the disposal count for the home side.

Brooke Repacholi won 42 hit outs to go with 12 disposals and seven tackles, while Natasha Entwistle and Lana Fitzgerald also impressed.

The Sharks drew level with their crosstown rivals South Fremantle as the season nears a thrilling finish in the final three rounds.

Chloe Ortlepp and Matilda Sergeant produced big games for Claremont, but it wasn’t enough as they dropped their second straight game.

Swan Districts 5.4 (34) v South Fremantle 4.4 (28)

The blockbuster clash of the round occurred at Steel Blue Oval where third took on fourth in a battle to stay in touch with the top two.

The Bulldogs had pulled off wins against Subiaco and Claremont, but the Black Ducks got the chocolates in this matchup to stay a game clear of the Fremantle sides.

Jaime Henry was outstanding, winning 38 disposals to go with six marks and six tackles, while Taylah Edwards extended her lead against the rest of the competition kicking multiple goals for the sixth time this season.

Adi Griffith added multiple goals as well, as did Emily McGuire, fittingly, as the club stalwart celebrated NAIDOC round.

Kayley King also impressed for the home side, while for the visiting Bulldogs draft prospect Alira Fotu kicked two and Marie Polimeno also impressed.
