Claremont are through to their fourth straight WAFLW grand final after a stunning come-from-behind victory over Subiaco in an extra-time classic at Revo Fitness Stadium on Sunday.

The match went into extra time after a controversial finish with Claremont forward Megan Green given a holding free-kick which she converted from close-range to tie things up at 4.4 (28) apiece after the siren.

It came after the ball slammed into the goal post which looks like being the last score of the match as Subiaco started to celebrate what they thought was a five-point win.

Just the one behind was scored in the two four-minute periods of extra time with the Tigers holding onto a slender 4.5 (29) to 4.4 (28) lead.

Subiaco had two shots at goal in the last 30 seconds but failed to register a score, with both kicks going across the face of goal in a remarkable finish between the two rivals who had a draw earlier in the season.

The reigning champs were down by seven points late in the final term and trailed for most of the second half before storming back to force extra time.

Green kicked an equal game-high two majors for Claremont, matched by draft prospect Olivia Wolmarans at the other end.

Two-time Dhara Kerr medallist Jayme Harken, young gun Juliet Kelly and the experienced Matilda Sergeant were all prominent in the engine-room for the victors, while Abby Maynard was outstanding in defence.

Olivia Crane, Krstel Petrevski, Paige Sheppard all battled hard for the Lions, with Tess Lyons excellent in the ruck.

Claremont have earned themselves a week off before featuring in the grand final on Sunday, August 24, at Mineral Resources Park.

Subiaco get another chance to reach the decider, hosting Swan Districts at Sullivan Logistics Stadium next Sunday after the Black Ducks recovered from a goalless first three quarters to win by a point against East Fremantle at Steel Blue Oval.

Swan Districts trailed by 12 points at three-quarter time before snatching the lead after back-to-back majors from Kayley King and Adi Griffith.

Jaime Henry (34) and AFLW draft fancy Carys D'Addario (26) were outstanding for the winners, combining for 60 disposals. 

Claremont also prevailed in the Rogers Cup earlier in the day, keeping their season alive with a hard-fought 11-point victory over East Fremantle at Revo Fitness Stadium.

Minor premiers West Perth were the first team through to the decider after easily accounting for Swan Districts by 38 points at Steel Blue Oval.

The Black Ducks get a second chance however, facing the Tigers in a do-or-die preliminary final next Sunday.
