Players to watch in week two of EGT WAFL Colts finalsThursday, September 4, 2025 - 4:32 PM - by Jordan McArdle

We take a look at the players to watch in week two of the EGT WAFL Colts finals.

Lucas Robinson (South Fremantle)

Average disposals: 25.8

Robinson has put together some impressive performance in South Fremantle's midfield as a bottom-ager.

The big-bodied ball winner is one of WA's top prospects for 2026 and will be a massive asset come finals after finishing up his PSA footy campaign.

The Fremantle NGA product is part of an exciting midfield brigade at Souths alongside fellow State representatives Toby Whan, Fred Rodriguez, captain Jacob Donald and emerging ruck Byron Foster.

Riaz Mohammad (East Fremantle)

2025 season goals: 11

The Geraldton product has been in excellent form of late, booting multiple goals in his last three games to help the Sharks finish second and win their Qualifying Final against Claremont last week.

The talented 18-year-old was a part of WA's summer squad and also made the Bachar Houli Foundation squad alongside East Fremantle teammate Rhama Evans.

If the Sharks are to cause an upset over their derby rivals, expect this young man to be in the thick of it.

Charlie Banfield (Claremont)

Average disposals: 20.8

The West Coast father-son prospect put in a massive performance in the Tigers' loss to East Fremantle last week with a game-high 33 disposals to go with two goals.

He will have another big assignment against West Perth's star-studded engine room, headlined by ball magnet Sam Swadling.

Banfield has already tasted senior footy this season in a stint with West Coast's WAFL side and showed plenty, no doubt taking that confidence back to colts level.

Judd Marcello (West Perth)

2025 season goals: 12

The Falcons utility has shown he can play a variety of positions this season, but it's his work as a forward lately which has been catching the eye.

The 192cm talent has kicked seven goals in his last two games including four in his team's come-from-behind Elimination Final win over Swan Districts on Sunday.

Marcello also kicked the winner against East Fremantle the previous week to cement the Falcons' spot in finals, showing he can step up in big moments when the pressure is on.
