Trey Ruscoe (South Fremantle)
Season 2025 goals: 50
The South Fremantle recruit came within two goals of joining West Perth sharpshooter Tyler Keitel as a Bernie Naylor medallist.
He's been ultra consistent in his first year at the Bulldogs and is coming off a whopping seven-goal performance against his former team West Coast to finish the home-and-away season.
Expect another big performance from Ruscoe this week as Souths look to kick off their finals campaign with a win over East Perth at Fremantle Community Bank Oval on Saturday.
Christian Ameduri (East Perth)
Average disposals: 15.5
The East Perth co-captain and State skipper was the beneficiary of being rested the final round of the home-and-away season, leading the Royals to a famous upset victory over Claremont at Revo Fitness Stadium last Saturday.
Ameduri led from the front with a dominant midfield performance alongside his co-captain Hamish Brayshaw, racking up 24 disposals, laying seven tackles and booting two goals.
He's got another massive job ahead of him with South Fremantle's midfield possessing plenty of stars, headlined by Sandover Medal fancy Matthew Parker.
Kieran Gowdie (Claremont)
Season 2025 goals: 35
With Claremont's leading goal-kicker Jaiden Hunter out with concussion, it makes Gowdie's role all the more important.
The hulking forward has formed a dominant one-two punch with Hunter this season, but now a lot rests on his broad shoulders as the Tigers look to keep their season alive against Perth at Revo Fitness Stadium on Sunday.
Gowdie is enjoying a career-best league season, averaging nearly two goals a game for a total of 35 in 18 appearances including three in last week's loss to the Royals.
Matt Taylor (Perth)
Average disposals: 23.3
The rebounding Perth defender has been a picture of consistency for his team this season and a big reason behind their long-awaited return to finals.
The former North Melbourne player reads the play so well and connects with his midfield brigade superbly.
