WA Football Would like to congratulate the award winners at the 2025 Junior Umpire Awards Nights held earlier in the month.
WA’s most talented junior umpires from each of the WAFL zones were recognised at the special event.
The awards range from peer-voted cultural honours to those recognising outstanding parental support.
The awards also feature the most improved and best umpires in various disciplines such as field, boundary and goal umpiring within their junior umpiring club.
WA Football’s Umpiring Clubs Specialist Courtney Gibson said she was incredibly proud of the hard work put in by the umpires and volunteers across the season.
"I’m incredibly proud of the work of our volunteers and umpires,” Gibson said.
“This year we’ve focused on making umpiring clubs safe and supportive environments, and it’s been wonderful to see that effort reflected in our growing numbers and in the positive feedback from umpires, coaches, and committees throughout the season.
"I’m so proud of the efforts of our umpires and their clubs. it’s no easy task for a group of young volunteers to coach, mentor, and appoint children and young adults to every junior football game across the metro region, yet they continue to rise to the challenge."
