Collingwood premiership hero turned Fremantle recruit Mason Cox has been named for his Peel Thunder debut in Saturday’s pre-season hit-out against Claremont at Revo Fitness Stadium.
Cox, coming off a strong first pre-season at Cockburn, is one of a dozen Dockers named alongside Bailey Banfield and several draftees including Adam Sweid, Leon Kickett, Toby Whan, Ryda Luke and Tobyn Murray.
The 211cm giant has been named in the ruck. He’s also been named among the emergencies for Fremantle’s home clash against Melbourne on Saturday afternoon, but fellow emergencies Luke Ryan and Jeremy Sharp have not been named for Peel.
Premiership captain Ben Hancock, who got through a game in the reserves last week, is back in the seniors after an ACL injury ruined his 2025 campaign.
