Applications Close: Monday September 22 2025

Expression of Interest: Football Operations Manager

Subiaco Football Club – A proud history. A bold future.

The Subiaco Football Club is calling for expressions of interest for the role of Football Operations Manager.

With a legacy spanning more than 125 years, Subiaco is one of the most successful and respected clubs in the WAFL. We’re entering a new phase, one defined by growth, innovation, and a deeper connection to our people. That’s why we’re looking for a talented Football Operations Manager with relevant experience to help bring our football strategy to life and ensure our programs are executed to the highest standard.

This is more than a management role; it’s an opportunity to directly shape the future of Subiaco on and off the field. From coordinating the day-to-day operations of the overall football program, to supporting the wellbeing and development of players, to managing staff and volunteers, you’ll be at the centre of everything that makes our club thrive.

The kind of persona we’re looking for:

We’re after someone who is engaging, highly organised, values-driven, and thrives on collaboration. You’ll be the person who ensures our football program runs smoothly, while also supporting the long-term strategy of the club. You’ll embrace change and are excited to join us as we start our journey from good to great.

Our ideal person will be able to demonstrate how they will:

· Work closely with the Senior Coach, CEO and Football Director to shape and execute the club’s football strategy across the organisation.

· Coordinate the effective running of the football program, including all logistics such as training venues, training schedules, match day operations, and broader program planning.

· Oversee the development and execution of player contracts, ensuring compliance with WA Football contractual requirements, the salary cap, and player points system.

· Develop and deliver programs that increase the depth and resilience of our football program — covering player wellness, rehabilitation, career progression, and personal development.

· Lead, manage and get the best out of staff, coaches, and volunteers, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and performance.

· Act as the glue of the football department — bringing excellent execution skills, program management capability, and a collaborative mindset to ensure alignment between strategy and delivery.

What we value

At Subiaco, we value people who put the team and the club before themselves. We’re looking for someone who is highly team-oriented, operates with integrity, and leaves their ego at the door. The right person will embrace the responsibility of working together to achieve success for the whole Subiaco community.
