We are seeking motivated, passionate, and driven Umpire Coach Developers on an ongoing casual basis. Successful candidates will be appointed early 2026 with programs commencing in February. If this sounds like you, please apply! 

 

Key Responsibilities:  

 

The Umpire Coach Developer plays a key role in supporting the development of umpire coaches by providing mentoring, guidance and feedback. This position focuses on enhancing umpire coach capacity and fostering a positive and supportive learning environment. The role involves working directly with umpire coaches during training sessions, games, and workshops to help support their ongoing development.? 

  • Act as a mentor to umpire coaches, creating a supportive environment for learning and development.

  • Identify individual umpire coach development needs and tailor coaching strategies accordingly.

  • Attend assigned training sessions and games to observe and support umpire coaches.

  • Provide immediate feedback to umpire coaches, facilitating discussions that promote continuous improvement.

  • Participate in the delivery of umpire coaching workshops and professional development sessions, where required.

 

Key Selection Criteria (Essential and Desirable): 

  • Proven ability to coach, mentor, and support individuals in a learning environment. (E)

  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills. (E)

  • Capacity to adapt coaching strategies to suit different learning styles and needs. (E)

  • Commitment to fostering a positive and respectful environment for participants. (E)

  • Availability to attend training sessions, workshops and match days as required. (E)
