On Saturday, our inaugural WA Football First Nations & Multicultural Girls Squad took to the field for the first time.
ㅤ
This was more than a showcase match, this initiative is about creating opportunities, strengthening player pathways and celebrating the cultures and communities that make our game so special.
ㅤ
An opportunity for young First Nations and multicultural female players to develop their skills, build connections and proudly represent their communities.
The AFL, thanks to Fanatics, has launched the 2026 Junior and Youth Girls Uniform Grants Program – with a share in $250,000 available to support uniforms for junior and youth girls. Clubs and Umpires Groups can apply for up to $3,000, while Leagues can apply for up to $10,000 to provide specially cut uniforms helping girls feel comfortable, confident, and included on the field. Apply now from our link in bio. Applications close 5pm AEST Sunday November 22.
Time to show the South Australian’s why West is Best 🤝
Left it all out there.
Congratulations to our 11 AFL and AFLW prospects who impressed in Sunday’s WA State Draft Combine, highlighted by plenty of PBs, top-10 results and a record-breaking agility test from East Fremantle speedster Finlay Yeo. 🔥

WA State AFL Draft Combine ✅
A huge shoutout to @rookieme for sorting it out 🙌🏻
What an afternoon!
Our partners came together for an afternoon of competition, fun, banter and a few well-earned drinks as we hit the field for our Corporate AFL Nines.
AFL Nines is a great way to get the work crew together in a fun, safe and active environment! Best of all no experience needed 🙌🏻
If you’re interested in playing AFL Nines this year, register now via the link in our bio.
See you on the field!
PBs aplenty, top-10 finishes and even a victory for our WA boys and girls at the AFL and AFLW National Draft Combines in Melbourne this week.
We’re proud of all of your efforts on the national stage. 👏
